Personnel Changes at BASF

Klaus Welsch (56), President, Engineering & Technical Expertise, Ludwigshafen, will assume responsibility for the new Division „Mega Projects Asia”, BASF (China) Company Ltd., Shanghai, effective January 1, 2020. These include the company’s proposed new integrated chemical production (“Verbund”) site in Zhanjiang (China) as well as the new chemical complex in Mundra (India), in which BASF is engaged with Adani, ADNOC and Borealis for its development.

Heather Remley (51), Senior Vice President, Petrochemicals North America, BASF Corporation, Houston, will, as President, succeed Klaus Welsch at the same time.
